Prairies du Fouzon near Couffy
Between the loops of the rivers Fouzon and Cher all the way to Saint-Aignan, lies a vast flood plain covered with grasslands - the "prairies du Fouzon".
This exceptional natural site hosts over 300 species of plants including some thirty very rare ones such as the great burnet, the yellow meadow rue and Germander scordium.
These grasslands are also the best breeding site of two rare birds in the Centre Region: the Curlew and Corncrake
