Maselles museum and archeological site



On the tourist route of the Val de Cher, this winemaking village along with its a fabulous 7 hectare landscaped park is an interesting testimonial of the Gallo-roman era: the Maselles.

This unique monumental structure (48.50m long, 14m wide and 6.50m high) remains an enigma.

Near by, a number of sites dedicated to pottery have been excavated.

The many objects unearthed, ceramics, currency, ex voto, statuettes, etc., are exhibited at the archaeological museum located on the 1st floor of the Town Hall.



from April 1 to September 24: Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

From Wednesday to Sunday in July and August.

Guided visit of the site to 10am and 2:30pm

Guided visit of the museum at 11:15am and 4pm
